Jane serves as Bristol's Chief Municipal Court Judge (2006-present). She is seasoned trial attorney who has been practicing law since 1987. Jane graduated from Providence College in 1983 and the University of Bridgeport School of Law in 1987. Jane is licensed to practice in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Jane has been active in the Rhode Island Family Court for well over 30 years, and is the Chairperson of the Family Court Bench Bar Committee, a position she has held for the past 18 years. Jane has served on numerous Family Court Committees such as the Committee to rewrite the Domestic Relations Rules of Procedure, the Permanency Committee and has been re-appointed to the Rhode Island Child Support Guideline Taskforce to analyze and update the child support guidelines. Jane is a frequent lecturer at continuing legal education programs at the Rhode Island Bar Association.
Jane is also a Fellow of the Rhode Island Bar Foundation, an honor given to those individuals who foster and maintain the honor and integrity of the profession of law.
